About Me
I'm a counselor certified in Depth Hypnosis — a therapeutic model developed by Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D.— that integrates Western psychology with mindfulness, somatic practices, hypnotherapy, Buddhist psychology, traditional healing, and energy work. This approach gently uncovers the root causes of challenges—not just the symptoms—to support lasting shifts in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, helping you move forward with a more connected and resilient mind, body, and spirit.

My path to counseling was unplanned and varied, but deeply fulfilling. I received my B.A. in English and Environmental Sustainability from the University of Virginia, where I studied the connection between ecosystem health and human psychological wellbeing. After several years working as a communications specialist in environmental consulting, I began exploring somatics (body-based healing), hypnotherapy, and earth-based healing traditions. Having studied and personally experienced several Western psychological approaches, I felt called to explore a more holistic path—one that addressed challenges on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. The profound shifts I experienced through this exploration inspired me to become a counselor, allowing me to apply my love of psychology and personal transformation in service of others. Empowering others to know themselves—and to heal from limiting beliefs and patterns—is my greatest passion.

I have studied extensively in meditation therapy, hypnotherapy, Buddhist psychology, applied shamanism, dream psychology, and energy medicine. Additionally, I bring over a decade of experience learning and applying Western psychological concepts and tools from various treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I partner with each client to tailor strategies that support their unique concerns, needs, and goals—weaving together evidence-based psychology with time-honored wisdom traditions.​

I use a collaborative, exploratory approach to help clients gain insight into life’s challenges and develop healthy ways of navigating difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I view my clients as the experts of their own lives and strive to support them in deepening their self-understanding and building self-trust, bringing open curiosity to the dynamics that shape their experiences. I cultivate an atmosphere of compassion and safety, and bring warmth and genuine care to the therapeutic relationship.
